visualVisual:
When you enter an art gallery, or see a fireworks display or the most exquisite sunset, what do you experience?
If you are visually conscious, your mind will contract, focus, become alert and stimulated to multi-task; you want to explore, discuss and share your experience and enjoyment of the work or scene, and you can simultaneously contribute to a conversation, and still think of your shopping list.
If you are visually subconscious, you experience seeing things from two directions, moving back and forth between enjoying the inspiration and ideas of work or scene from different angles, colours and patterns, and enjoying what it does for you internally, such as giving inspiration, pictures, memories, ideas etc. Seeing details and the big picture at the same time
If you need to process it unconsciously, people talking might be overwhelming or interruptive. You mind might expand and trance out, be speechless and drawn outwards, or disappear momentarily into a creative reverie with ideas and feelings difficult to articulate

auditory

Visual:
When you enter an art gallery, or see a fireworks display or the most exquisite sunset, what do you experience?
Should you be auditory conscious; your mind will contract, focus, become alert and stimulated to multi-task; even with work and/or study. As you’re good at talking, you can listen, enjoy the notes and lyrics and still talk and think at the same time even above a conversation, often asking people to be quiet when a good bit comes up.
Should you be auditory subconscious; you experience yourself hearing both sides of the story and moving back and forth between enjoying the music, noticing the different instruments and melodies, and enjoying what it does for you internally, such as giving inspiration, pictures, memories, ideas etc. You hear the whole of something and the details at the same time
Should you need to process it unconsciously, It may be overwhelming or difficult to concentrate on music if someone is talking and you might ask them to keep quiet or turn the music off to listen to them. If no-one is around the music can draw you inwards to your own world, where you might hear it creatively. should

kinesthetic

Kinesthetic:
If movement and sensation makes you more conscious; your mind will contract, focus, become alert and stimulated to multi-task; through moving, making, sensing, touching simultaneously whilst conversing and planning. Your work and study benefits from movement, comfort or sensuality and your sense of co-ordination. You are energetic, you perhaps wiggle, jiggle or doodle restlessly to stimulate & focus.

If touch and movement puts you into a subliminal state - is the bridge between your inner and outer world, you experience yourself moving back and forth and being pulled in two directions. You move between the physical, sensations, and feelings and the inner stimulation it gives you for sorting your thoughts. For example moving or jiggling or gesticulating with your hands put you in touch with your ideas, feelings & creativity moving

If you have to process physical sensation unconsciously, you might need to keep still or not be touched whilst in conversation and require verbal or visual instruction for physical activities, and perhaps still be poorly co-ordinated.
Movement, sensual objects and sensations generate ideas, feelings, and creativity for you and draw you inwards creatively especially behind closed eyes & in silence.

I really became aware of them in my own life at a point when I was having difficulty relating to one of my children. I noticed each time that a particular incident happened, afterwards I made pictures internally, then commented and self-talked about the pictures I was seeing and finally made feelings, based on the self-talk, which in this case were feelings of anger.

So in this order, I was:

  1. Unconsciously thinking, making pictures
  2. Consciously thinking, self-talking and commenting on those pictures
  3. Subliminally thinking, making emotions and feelings to create my outcome.

I realised  this was the way my mind thinks and does business. I had been using this process, the right sequence in the wrong way, for a long time; producing the opposite outcome to what I intended.

I decided to retrain myself.

So now when I need to communicate something important to myself and have agreement with my unconscious mind the process I use is in the same order but uses helpful content for my future channel.
I make positive pictures of what I want to happen, associated; i.e, looking through my own eyes and not at myself in the picture and making sure not to begin self-talk which would flip me straight into a conscious way of communicating
After a pause I clear the screen, and only then, I comment to myself and self talk in an approving way, involving my conscious mind
I allow and rehearse the good feelings of the outcome, to bring my subliminal mind in between.

Now, at first this may sound a bit unnatural and interventionist, but consider this.
Everything is a habit and just like learning to drive a car, the process can be learned and soon become unconscious and a strategy. You can use a similar strategy to get your whole mind on side and have your emotions empowered by.
